Hi all - I would google this but not sure what to look for.

I replaced the rear window regulator - a mission in its self for me! Any how the wires which attach to the window for the heated elements have come away.

While I have both plug, I only seem to have one small brass T shape thing which looks like it was soldered to the screen.

I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the part and also advise me if I can get a replacement and also if there is some sort of glue I can use to re3fit them.

Sorry to ask :) I would be really grateful of an answer - as if possible thought it was worth doing before I close up the door

I'm sure you've worked this out now but the 6mm spade connectors are designed to be unplugged before you move the window out of place to avoid damaging the hrw.

Looks like you have irreparably damaged the hrw element. Glue and electrically conductive paint might work but probs best to replace rear screen. Should be cheap enough at breakers yard.
I think I have a few but postage would be risky!!

thank you - I think they came off due to age, I found a guy in the states on YT who soldiers them back on, which is well within my skill set, its just finding the the 'tabs' - where are you based, I am in the north of England

Find a suitable piece of brass sheet stock, and make one using the other as a pattern. ;)

I've soldered them back on, but you need to use a pretty beefy iron. I used my 60w soldering station, which worked fine.
The only thing I couldn't do or wanted to do was heat the glass hot enough to flow the solder, so I did it in small sections, flowing just enough solder to give a secure electrical connection.

@ Nodge68

thank you - followed you advice, never used or even owned a soldering iron but managed to pick one up and do it, will it hold, seems to, will it work, who knows.

Have to say putting the bloody door card back on was a pain :) a 1 hour job took me all day and some :)
