L322 HDC system. (not a fault ...yet!

Dumb question but have searched about 8 pages of everyone's faulty ones.

What's the plain English for actually turning it on etc ? Read manual and tried mine neutral low mode 1speed etc but get nothing no light beep message etc.

Do you actually need to be on a hill ?

The light comes up on start up so assumed it's system check ok and before I Rip out the multimeter or buy an expensive switch I thought I best rule out the **** behind the wheel theory

Ye RTFM etc. But read 3 versions and still no wiser

In low range and on a hill, switch the button on and the ecu will maintain a controlled hill decent.
It'll stop you from potentially shooting down a hill in a 3ton shovel
Unless the button doesn't work??

Will find a proper hill and if I don't make it to the bottom I can check n test the button while I wait for recovery
