I've just got the following codes read out of my '99 plate 1.8 Freelander at my local garage while they did the MOT:
CODE001: Pump failure 1 (monitor line)
CODE002: Pump failure 3 (pump sticking)
CODE003: shuttle valve switch failure
The HDC warning light is on all the time, but the TC and ABS lights go out as they should.
The ABS appears to be working but the HDC doesn't.
Any ideas? I've had a good google and the only reference to these errors I can find are on the Discos, and those people were experiencing the Three Amigos.
Could these codes be a red herring and my HDC light be caused by a sticking or badly adjusted throttle cable? It was occasionally over revving when I got the car a few months ago, but I did the calibration trick and the revving has gone away.
Cheers.
