have I busted something

While towing a used electricity pole over rough terrain for about a hundred yards. I noticed a smell from the defender, (td5). Now, a couple of days later the smell only appears when I engage reverse. Have I done some damage?

Wot kinda smell? cooked clutch plate kinda smell?

Is it kinda similar to a burnt match?

This problem is caused by towing a used electricity pole over rough terrain...if it had been an unused electricity pole you would not be having the current problem....

electricity poles in use would sure give you a 'current problem'....about 20,000amps worth at a guess....depending upon the size of your pole of course!
Then again poles are adding to the brittish economy,or so we are told by gordon,so i suggest you take the unused pole back to where you found him as someone else may very well have a use for him

Paul, i read threads sometimes and i think ffs, the genepool is really getting muddy.....:doh:

Did you have it in low range, or were you having to slip the clutch to do the job?

or were you just riding the clutch
