Hi

Just joined the Forum today as I have bought my first Land Rover Discovery 2 and am wanting to bring it up to scratch as it has a few problems,

1, The turbo actuator is not opening,
2, It has a leak dripping on the fan belt from the ACE pump,
3, The sun roof drains need cleared,
4, The bar behind the bottom of the front bumper needs replaced.

If you can help with parts, suggestions and tips etc I would appreciate it.

Cheers

1/ Turbo actuator is an easy fix. Search!!!
2/ New pump (e-bay).....or something needs tightened???
3/ Almost certainly sunroof flange to roof needs sealed. (not drains)
4/ Part number STC50260 required.

1, Yeah done the search and will try WD40 along with recommended tools to free it up.
2, Taking it off later today will let you know how that goes.

3, Flange not drains to be more specific would this cause water to suddenly gush out of the NSF seat belt trim after the LR has stood overnight in rain fall? If so in regards to sealing it what is preferred sealant fix?

4, Thanks for the part No

When the roof seal goes (frame to roof) the water fills the drip channel in the sunroof , and when you move off hay presto onbored waterfall :-/ yes cleaning out the drain would help a little to give the water a way out ,but they really don't work at the best of times ,so rather than waste time fixing them just fix the leak . So sunroof out new seal or small amount of auto grade sealent round the frame to roof ! And when I say small I mean SMALL ! Amount no more then a pin hole size amount . I fixed mine this way as a temp fix 2years ago and been dry ever since , but I know one day I will have to do it right .

Thanks for the link on the sunroof fix, the visuals are great.

I have ordered a ACE pump already so thanks very much for the offer and if I require other parts I ll be in touch.

Cheers

Here's an update,

Ace system has come out after inspecting the front pipes. It would of been an expensive job as well as shocking.

Sunroof is all sealed up now just waiting to drive it once new mod kit is fitted.

Turbo actuator, used WD40 and worked that into the spring spraying inside the round casing until the foot pump I attached to the air line pushed the arm out at 2 PSI.

Just got the winch bracket to order and fit then fingers crossed I can shut the bonnet and crack on with no worries.

Many thanks for the advice.
