anglesey,
Bought myself a 110 as a xmas pressie last week, jumped into the bugger this morning to deliver cards and things, did 5 yards... big bang ... no drive!! Tried in diff lock, still no drive..
Is it to late to ask santa for a new transfer box?
Any ways, all the best to everyone and hope you all have a better day than mine

Have you tried high and lo ratios as well as difflock? It could be it wasn't full engaged on the transfer lever. :p

Thanks for the replies
When I suggested after lunch yesterday that I was going to go out and have a look at the thing I was threatened with all sorts of unspeakable things.. anybody would think it was some sort of special day. I did try hi and lo, lock on and off but I was ****ed off and in a hurry. I'll try again later.

Just been out for a look at this thing, if I put it in gear and let the clutch up it makes a grinding noise but the rear prop shaft is turning. If I lift the handbrake gently it will start to move which seems to suggest that it is starting to send power through to the front wheels. . Had the half shafts out and they look ok. The handbrake doesn't hold nor will it hold in gear on a hill.
It 's a bugger to get diff lock to engage unless I lever the selector over by hand, but it will move once I get it to lock.
Could it be the rear diff, or just not selecting gears on the t/box?
Any ideas gratefully recieved
It's a TD5 if it makes any odds
Thanks
Rick
