  • Hi. I saw a post you did on 2.5 NA Diesel CAV pump. Inspired, I had a go as my throttle linkage was also leaking from the o ring. All done, back together, but won’t start, bled it, but the only thing that is not right, the throttle does not return fully. Could I have fluffed something up internally? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, Iv'e been trawling through all the pages in this forum and found a post by you which is the exact problem I have.
    I have a 05 freelander td4 with a intermittent knock from the rear after I changed the front rear diff bush......did you ever find out what was causing the noise on your td4?

    if you put 2 x bolt to hold case and brg plate together ,remove front cover and shim front brgs to remove freeplay use shim steel or good quality gasket material ,obviously if brgs are good condition,if you push baulk ring on to gear con it needs 25 thou clearance between gear and baulk ring dog teeth,for brass looking inside of baulk ring or 15 thou for grey/black coated inside,synchro has 2 x c shape spring one each side check fitted okay baulk ring number frc8232
