Handbrake problem please help

Hi I’m new to the site I’m having problems with my handbrake on me disco 3 54reg handbrake got stuck on tried to use manual release but not good I ended up having to cut the cables to be able to move the car looked at a lot of videos on what theproblem could be bought new cables and kit to fix the problem open the box up sureenough the gears were strip replaced themfitted new cables adjusted shoes cleaned and lubed everything now I just get amessage on the dash saying handbrake notfunctioning tried everything took fuse out atthe mo just incase it decides to put it self onand I can’t get off again sorry this is a longwinded any help will be grateful

I've tried several time to repair the EPB module with replacement cables. However I've pretty much discovered that by the time the shoes are allowed to go so far out of adjustment (they should be stripped, cleaned, lubricated, and readjusted every 12 months), then the module is effectively scrap, with damaged strain sensors, and stripped gears.

Best option is to simply replace the module, and code it the the vehicle.
