NO IT'S NOT! If its that bad, you shouldn't be driving it. Responsible green laners aren't out for churning up the mud and getting stuck!..... that's what PaynPlay sites are for :(

Missed that bit, the others seem really sensible, should have known gstuart would be pretty easily influenced by the hooligan element! :(

u don't have to get up to the axles in mud to get stuck :p:D

i'm one for preserving a lane and not turning it into a mud bath, keeping locals on side and not upsetting or offending them.

driven lanes like many of us for years, u should be able to drive a lane without doing any damage , like i was never there

i'm not one of those hooligans who rip lanes apart , or rip through terrain etc

Glad to hear it, but your posts imply and encourage a different approach :(

aplogises, of course then it must have come across in a different way

can see both sides were i assume you've seen lanes ripped apart and annoys u when someone just says it jokingly

i appreciate that , however i enjoy greenlaning and being able to go back to that lane

in all honestly i would hate to have someone screaming and shouting at me for destroying a lane , part of there community which they use to walk and take there dogs

know that 4x4 get a bad enough press at it is

will be careful in future what i say ,

u should know by now the last thing i ever wish to do is cause offence to anyone

I think there's definitely different levels of "Stuck" I'm not intending to get axles deep anywhere soon... I just want something a little more challenging than a trip to shops ;)

how do we set up a private group on here?

We don't have private groups anymore. Yer can start a "conversation" with many peeps on it, who can reply for all on it to follow the conversation. Only thems on the conversation can take part.

Getting stuck is for novices and hooligans. If I had a farmworker who did it regularly, they would be up the road. It wastes everyones time, and damages ground, and vehicles.
You dont need any mud at all to get stuck. If you get one of these stuck, they wont hire you another, they cost a million quid, and take all day to recover.

There are may thing more challenging then mud, it isnt even interesting. Tight clearances, steep rocky steps, you name it! ;) Google rock crawling, I think you willl be amazed by some of the vids. And not a mark on the ground anywhere! :)

Click on the little envelope top right, type the usernames of all in the right box. Up to 30 users per convo, recommended for laning is 4 vehicles, 6 max. Persoanlly I hate more than 2-3, and would split into groups or double up if more wanted to go.

Read up in Devon and Cornwall fred for our masterclass. Great trips, no ground damage, although some to vehicles from vegetation. :D

I don't think my little 1.8 or my budget would stretch to rock climbing :(

When I get my laptop out I'll give the message thing a go... Would be cool to make the trips into a bit if a social though, meet up for brecky go on a trek then a pub lunch (or dinner if its a long road)

I do, occasionally do "noobies" trips between Basingstoke and Alton. for a couple of hours (2-4). Very few are muddy, except the odd patch, but they get progressively more technical as you gain confidence along the route.
