Back in the 80's we were an advance party travelling to Germany and had to park up at a barracks in stirling on route. We posted 24 hr guards as there were some " travelling community " in a layby some 300m away. We watched 4 of them take best part of 4 hours to crawl up a field to the barbed wire fence between us and the field. Just as two of them were climbing over the fence into our compound the razzum hit them with a pick axe handle knocking them cold out with the imortal words " Well they were only pikeys"......

How inspirational is a simple film, it can open up a feild of different protection methods, take the trap at 0:45. Its a simple charcoal igniting coil for a barbeque, maybe you could take the rubbers off the handles (recessed handles) and stick one of those buggers on it in the night

i would think the easiest option would be to run the live feed from the stop solenoid into cabin area and onto a two pole micro switch,hide that somewhere out of way (under dash or even in glove box)then return the wire off the back of the switch back to the solenoid.when you turn engine off flick the switch and even if they "hot wire"or "Black box"it it wont start because the switch is stopping the feed to the solenoid.its a very simple mod thats very effective given that most car theives are brain dead morons and not likely to lift the bonnet to diagnose a non starting fault,obviously it wont stop them towing it though.

i have a simple switch on the dash that says start engine wrote on it, little does anyone know its a 120db airhorn fixed under the bonnet, wired straight to battery so always has power.

That sounds lovely but what if you flick it by accident?. I'm guessing the misses aint too happy
 
Du no what the problem is.......
Just wire up an old Halon gas fire extinguisher in the cab. When it is triggered, they suffocate! Gas then disperses...... Dead thief - not a mark on em:). Simples.

No she wud be pretty ****ed but no where near as much as she would be if i told her it had gone! if i told her it had gone i would expect divorce papers! Its the only thing that keeps me from under her feet! oh landy widows! ya gotta love em!
