GM Dot 4 brake fluid

Just bought 5 botles of this from ebay with the intention of flushing out my td5 brakes. The thing is it has a date on it 12/09.
Would this be a shelf life date and if so should I send it back or will it be ok?

More like the manufacturing date. I use just under a litre when doing my brakes every two years so you have plenty of fluid, shelf life is around 3 years.

Thanks, thats what I was hoping even though it was only £10.50 for 2.5ltr delivered
