Disco 2 Brake bleeding woes

Thanks for that. Will try a pedal bleed this morning. I should add that the ABS etc has always worked perfectly, but I did fit the shuttle valve mod to clear the three amigos a few years ago.

Problem solved! It is the servo. With engine running and serpentine belt removed, brake stays firm. Refit belt and pedal sinks to floor. No I don't understand it!
As it is not a hydraulic issue will start a new thread.

The SVS mod would not affect the braking whatsoever, it will only inhibit the active braking modes
@sierrafery Would you mind explaining what "inhibit the active braking modes" means.
As, earlier this year, I did the SVS mod as I thought I had been told it was a good thing to do even with a new switch panel on the bottom of the unit.
I have to say that I just did it, all three amigos went off and stayed off and I have not had them come back on again, but I have not tested ABS or TC or HDC as I thought I had understood that none of these would be affected by the mod.

Means that if you have a SVS(shuttle valve switch) related fault and the 3 amigos are on because of that the system goes to a default where active braking modes(ABS, TC, HDC, EBD) are affected, i didnt mean that active braking modes are badly affected by the mod i meant that the SVS failure will do that but i wasnt clear enough... see attachment for "Shuttle valve switch failure"... don't worry, you did well with the wiring mod as i explained here: Necessity of the mod = SVS fix(wiring mod option B) "graphic" explanation

Cheers mate!
I'll wrap a wet towel around my head later on and try to get my brain around all this.
But the main thing is that you are telling me that all should function as normal, which is what I was hoping to hear.
:):):)
