Decided to change the glow plugs today, amongst other jobs, because its been needing 2 cycles to start recently. Anyway off with inlet manifold too get the them and this is when the fun began.
What should have been an easy job ended up been a nightmare, all but 1 of the power feed nuts had welded themselves to the plugs, had to get out the big screwdriver and hammer to break the ends off so i didn't damage the feed wiring. So out with the small vise-grips to hold the broken end of glow plug whilst cracking the feed nuts. After much knuckle scraping did them all and changed plugs.
So the moral of the story is make sure when you next change yours to put some copper-slip on the threads of the power feeds otherwise like me you'll struggle like a tw*t for no reason whatsoever. But atleast now she fires up first turn.
