Is there anybody in the Bristol-ish area with a full fat faultmate.
(Try saying that when your moustache is wet!)

At the moment I just want my fog lights switched on but I would rather hand over beer tokens to a fellow enthusiast than a garage.

For the future it would be nice if I had an alternative to just having to believe a garage, even an Indie.

Just remember that most indies are people who played with LR's for years before making the leap to earning a living,(Often not a good one.)from them.

just what i was thinking!

dogsbody if you don't want to believe your garage why would you believe someone you don't know, with untested skills and no come back if they get it wrong? in your situation the best thing is to get a diagnostic system of your own. you can then offer to help out others in the bristolish area.

Don't get me wrong, I know my limitations and my excellent local indie has had a few hundred quid off me but it still would be nice to know that I could get a second, totally independent opinion if the fertilizer ever truly hits the proverbial windmill.

I would love to but I can't justify that much of our savings. She has just lost her job and I'm not certain about mine. If I'm going to keep the Rangie it's going to have to be on a minimum budget.

Just out of interest who do is your indie ?

I have had a good deal from Steve Hill in brislington for a diagnostics only plug in. Also found him to be more than happy to chat and give good advice.

Have had work at LRS as well in the past. They did my ace pipes when they were ****ing fluid everywhere. Seems like a nice chap, and did a good job too, but diagnostics are not as cheap from him.
