Today I decided to find out why my range wont run on petrol.I started at the carbs and worked back checking each line, the filter was full of rusty coloured sludge. The pump was worse and then i got to the tank.
I had decided to take off the fuel pump supply and drain it that way but found a drain plug on the drivers side.I removed the tank plug and let loose 60litres of what i expected to be petrol.what a mess.
Lots of flakes of black bits and summat else........?
****IN DIESEL...............
Now im not normally that stupid I have checked my fuel bills and have no recipts for diesel.I am in a point of decision as to weather to ask the local fillin station if they have had "any issues"but wonder would water behave the same and seperate? The petrol sat on the top and all the bits etc sat in the "thicker fluid".It was kinda oily and a bit mingeing.slightly yellow. It kinda looked like diesel.could it be water?
I saved skimmed petrol for my chainsaw,I have a good 20 litres of shocking ****e in a drum what should i do?can i test it with litmus paper or summat to see what it is.
