here is a strange one ladies and gents, wonder if anyone has had this before? if not, i welcome your expert advice...
so my fuel gauge is permanently showing as the tank is fuel. So amongst other things, today, i decided to see what the issue is... and it was a relatively quick process to find the issue... basically if i remove the tank lid and teh filter, stick my hand in the tank and push the float to the top (i.e. make it think its full) the fuel gauge then moved to "E". and if i let go of the float and it gets down low (i..e its empty) the dash shows its Full.
its basically showing the opposite.
i don't think you can put a sender unit/float upside down can you? i am stumped to what the issue may be? i mean a quick solution is to swap the E and the F on the dash, then problem solved... lol

Iirc the older s2 had an odd fuel sender. maybe you have one of them fitted?
Can the arm be fitted the other way on its pivot point, ie move the float?
