Hi I have a 1997 manual discovery 300tdi, she was not reviving and kept cutting out, changed the lift pump and fuel filter (from landrover) had the fuel lines blown out, checked for blockages under the sender unit and she is still doing the same thing, anyone have any other ideas on what I could try please

even with the lift pump gone down the main pump has sufficient oomph to keep it going without cutting out and generally get you to around 60mph (give or take)

Does it start ok?
Could be air leaking into the lines.

could be injection pump or poor feed to it, you could check feed using a clear plastic pipe in line between front banjo on pump and filter

He has bypassed the lift pump and filter and fed it direct to the injector pump and it worked fine, as soon as he re connected everything it played up again

Did he try the clear pipe?

When i re-plumbed my hs2.8 (300tdi clone) i used clear (hard nylon) from the sedimenter onward, and you can instantly spot air ingress then, and pinpoint where its getting in.
