Hi all, after charging my battery on the vehicle ( 2001 TD5 ) with a “ repair “ charger I now have no glow plug heater light ( and possibly no fuel pump ) and the engine won’t start ! 😟. RAC suspected ECU but I have had this tested off the vehicle by a professional ECU repairer and it checks out ok ! I have checked fuses, which seem ok, be there may be others ( hidden ? ) that need to be checked. Any ideas out there from you experts please ?

Really could be many things. Start by disconnecting negative battery terminal, leave off for a good 5 minutes.
Battery reset is a basic and quick check.
Have you checked both engine and passenger compartment fuse boxes ?
You really need a proper code reader as after the basic checks you are shooting in the dark.

As said you really need to 'plug it in' (to a decent scanner) to get some readings. When you switch the ign onto pos ll can you hear the fuel pump priming ?
