Fuel issue 51 bmw

Hi again all,

Fuel issue 51 plate, the Freelander I have dosnt have the cigar shaped fuel pump under the wheel arch. It does have some that looks like a fuel pump there & been told this can cause fuel issues as not starting......

In tank & engine bay pumps working fine turns over just won’t fire up even though loads of fuel

The small pump under the wheel arch is for the FBH.

As above the small pump is a dosing pump for your fuel burning heater, which should come on when the temp is below 5c make sure your battery is 100% charged this weather can bring it down, also your under bonnet pump maybe weak, turn ignition on to II let glow plug go out, repeat then try starting, if still not firing up, try quick squirt of easy start, make sure you have no electrics on when trying to start, the car needs all it's energy to start in this cold weather if one of the pumps is weal or even the HPFP regulator O-rings are split if they are £5.90 fix an hours work, to replace them .
