Is it the pipe from the rear that clips onto the shouldered pipe on the FPR ?.

It must have been given some stick to break it !.

Is it possible that the retaining part of the fitting hasnt popped back ?.

If youre sure the clip is broken, than i assume its a new complete pipe.
However, I will stand aside just in case someone has come up with a sneaky repair !.

Just to add, that getting the " quick release " off at the rear is a real pain.

Sometimes they "feel" and look like they are on, but a small tug and off they come again.

Give it a real "firm" push on whilst slightly "wiggling" it, you may find it goes on better, and again test it with a good pull. I doubt its broken, the retainer inside has 4 legs that clip over the pipe flare, unlikely that all of them are busted, if any, the black collar plays no part in the fitting of the pipe, its there to purely release it for removal.

There are two sets of pipes listed in Microcat:

VIN up to 3A828006 - P/No WJP108270
VIN from 3A828007 - P/No WJP500070

The later one is about £40 for the two pipes as an assembly.

The earlier one is obsolete, I have seen one on Google for £188 + VAT!

The rear connection broke on mine while trying to get the "quick release" off when replacing the tank pipes. Trying to find a suitable replacement connector to avoid a new hose assembly from Rimmer Bros: Hose - Vent - Genuine Land Rover at www.rimmerbros.co.uk (ouch)
