My 2004 Landmark D2 seems to have a fuel gauge issue. I went out yesterday and when i left town the light came on even though the needle was on around a quarter (not in red). It's only 3 miles to home so it didn't concern me. Since then I did one journey around 5-6 miles, then yesterday it wouldn't start. The guage still says it's not in the red but fuel light is on. Went to town in wife's car, got a few small fuel cans of diesel, chucked it in and eventually it fired up (after my son fiddled around with brake cleaner to get it to fire).
Any ideas what I need to do to confirm or fix the gauge issue?
thanks

Sounds like the float is sticking. In the short term drive around and pay attention to the warning light!
You can then take it out at your leisure and either fix or replace.

The fuel sender is available separately p/no YAD500040 £84.74 Inc vat. I replaced mine ( had to do a small mod to the wiring) under similar condition to yours although it now reads slightly under (couldn't be bothered to remove pump & bend the float) which I don't mind as there's less chance of running out of fuel.
