Fuel and water guage issues.

So here we go. Series 3 diesel. Fuel and temp guage stopped working yesterday, after I'd pulled the dash forward to put a new bulb in charge light.
I've checked the voltage stabalizer it's working correctly, when I pulled the dash forward the fuel guage started to go up, push it home and off it dropped. 3 times I did this just for the sheer amusement lol. I can't see any loose connections or wire that's not connected. What am I missing something stupid I guess.

Contacts in the fuse box under steering wheel often cause issues.

And simply the age of the bird's nest rammed in there. Next job on mine is a new loom.

In fairness its relatively new not much extra odjob wiring lol

have you checked the earth lugs on the instrument cluster

Earth lugs gets my vote.

All sorted, 2 problems an earth had jiggled loose and the voltage stabaliser was also faulty. Thanks for the help guys.
