Hi all, just got around to swap the fuel filter on my '96 4.0 GEMS and the threads on the union on the tank side have evaporated before my eyes.
The question is, anyone else had the issue? Can the union itself be swapped or will I need to remove the whole line back to the tank?

Also, if I've got to drop the tank I'll swap the fuel pump whilst I'm there. Had a look in RAVE and there are 2 procedures listed. One is for Pre-advanced EVAPs and another. What are pre-advanced EVAPs? How will I know if I've got 'em?
Cheers

Oh dear, I had to replace the whole pipe back to the tank because it had rusted away while it stood for at least 5 years. The cheapest I found was £96.:(

Hi Alan, yep found that too! Both feed and return rusted to bits. Bit the bullet and got a new pump whilst I've got the tank off. Hopefully coming tomorrow. The pipes........£150 the pair!! Nearly gave up drinking......
