Never really been bothered by this before, but I've noticed it more and more lately...

When I go over a speed bump or drop off a kerb a bit too quick, I notice a resounding thud from the front right side of the car. It seems to be on the down side, rather than the up side of the speed bump

The reason I'm a bit concerned is that my tracking seems to be out and pulls to one side... but the side seems to swap over depending on the terrain! It usually pulls to the left, but occassionally pulls to the right.

Can't work it out, but I'm just wondering if my track rod ends or bushes or something similar needs changing...

Anyone any ideas or tests I can do to check it before I take it to the garage?

sounds like ya dampers are shot gun drew. . .give it the hat man test. . . push down and it should return with no bounce, if ones gone ya have ta do both as matched pair. . . .:)

I thought here wer some bushes int front that wear and cause the knockin noise? Do a search Drew! I'm sure it been covered before and its a cheap(ish) fix

Oh when yer find it, post it on here, cos I think mine need doin;) :p

ittwoz - i posted the suspension piccies from thr R disk.

You will find they all do that to a certain degree. Especially after the wheels step down from high kerbs etc.

Have spoken to LR mechs before about this but not too sure as to the cause. I suspect its the anti roll bar bushes ??

Another job fur Bearmach?

mine does it too,but only when i really drop it off a kerb,if i take it gently no probs, td4

Well the motor passed it's MOT and the tester couldn't find any problems...

I did speak to a Landy specialist and he suggested the anti-roll bar linkages.

Not bothered to get it fixed yet, as I've been too busy... more bothered about the cluning noise coming from the rear when I turn on full-lock!
