freelander td4 engine management light

Was taking wife out in recently purchased 02 TD4 and light came on and lost power. Would only rev at tick over. RAC recovered us back to home. Went back to Freelander 5 hours later all faults cleared. Did change crankcase filter on Tuesday. Also was a very wet day, driving through deep puddles. Are these possible causes ? First land rover owned .:blabla:

Had Freelander checked ovr today by independant Land rover specialists. Appears it was a low voltage fault probably caused by dampness. Done 600 miles since and no problems.Have coated all connections with dampstart spray.
