bought a freelander 1 td4 facelift 2004 no fob have got hold of a bcu behind fusebox and matching fob is it just a case of swapping the bcu and the fob will work the alarm and doors? fed up having to use the key to open and unlock the car.

Yes. Providing the CCU is from the same model vehicle, the door looks should work on remote. I can't remember what happens to the alarm module though.

Why don't you get someone to program the fobs to the car you have? They could also remove the fobs you don't have from the car if they're still programmed to it.

Daft question, who could do that?
LR main dealers but they're more eggsensive. Some independent lr garages will have a diagnostic to program fobs. Some members on ere with a hawkeye. You never know there could be someone local or someone travelling in your direction for work. There are other diagnostics that can program fobs anorl. Professional kit garages have.
