Hi, just looking for a little advice.......Just bought my first auto deisel '55 reg freelander. Have noticed when I first start her she is so slow and feels like she's struggling to get going. Absolutely fine drive once going for a few minutes, but something doesn't feel right.
My hubby is insisting she's fine and its simply a bigger engine and deisel that I have to get used to. (after having a petrol 1.8 freelander which drove like a dream).
It's as if she's is dragging as I set off, the rev counter is at 300 and struggling until at least 5-7 minutes in when it settles at 150 .....which is not good if you have cars behind. I simply feel like I'm putting my foot down to accelerate and the car is moving, but not enough. It's almost as if I'm tring to tow something too heavy!
Any advice, ideas?...I'd be grateful. It's just that the car is under 3 month warranty from garage and if there's a problem I need to sort it quickly. Garage is a few hundred miles away, which doesn't help.
For info- apparently full service history from landrover and 1 previous owner ( say apparently as service history stamps are all in replacement service portfolio book)
Many thanks
