I am looking at the possibility of using something like wardrobe rail brackets, the flanged ends. I am not too worried about the boot space plastic trim as it's a bit battered there so if I can find something viable I am going to try it. I am going to get some pictures of mine on here when I give it a wash this week. I have some wind deflectors coming to put on first as well. I was considering the rubber body protector strip; have you considered it yourself? The single strip not the body kit which looks not good to me.

I've got a few ideas, be a bit of trail and error. I'll take pics once I've made some......thought about the rubbing strips, but not sure yet. Need some paint work doing, before I decide. Look forward to seeing pics. :)

I need some paint work doing too, there is a ding where some idiot dropped a motorcycle off its stand onto the car. Oh, I just remembered that was me . I have never managed to break more than one of my vehicles at once before that. I am getting bored of being stupid haha. I will clean it and then get some pics and try not to show the embarrassing ding haha.

I once knocked a box of bolts and brass plumbing fittings out of the roof space of my garage onto the bonnet and wing of my MGF.:oops:
Oh how I laughed!!!!!

Not :(

I had a reply from Famous Four Products who say they can source the brackets from a firm. They apologised when they told me they would cost £26 + £5.50 + £6 VAT and the brackets are grey. Don't think I will take them up on this one

And a clamp that was hung up fell on my bike a couple of weeks ago and put a ding in that probably move them

I emailed quite a few places, and was told by all that they were obsolete. And no pattern parts available.

Managed to find another new old stock Rover 200 BRM gear knob, screws straight in place of the old one. :D

Back in 2011, I made a sump Guard for my old Freelander. Sold it when I got a Mantec one......then saw it for sale on Facebook, so picking it up Saturday. Happy days, saves me making another one. This is how it looked when I made it.

Looks near enough the same now, just needs cleaning up as it's been painted.

That looks very neat. Any pics of the other side?

I like that, I have considered that myself

Also, just picked up wind deflectors so will fit them at weekend after giving it a good clean. Also got new fuel flow back pipe and fittings; nice brass ones; as one of mine is loose. Meaning to do it for ages. Will get some pictures of FL on here if it ever stops raining ☔️. I have rear steps on the tow bar as couldn't find anything better to add a bit of meat to the back. Any one got any better ideas? A friend of mine says he can make me some bigger, wider steps if there is nothing else.

Sounds good mate, I'm fitting a pin and ball tow ball to mine at some point. Looks better and more practical. :)

More goodies, full intercooler hose set and intake hose. Will get them fitted tomorrow. :D

I have the ball etc also on the tow bar, the steps are in between the tow bar flange and the tow ball as I have to tow trailers. I saw quarter bars for FL 2 but nothing similar for FL 1; I think it may be hard to attach. Also, the steps as they are give me access to the roof box so are practical and do not interfere with the sensors for reversing.

Intake and intercooler hoses all fitted, still had to do the trimming. Was a bit unsure on the colour, but now they're fitted. I really like them. :D

I think the colour is fine, be easy to keep on top of cleaning cos you will know it when you need to do it!
