hi guys, fitted a 2” lift and 30mm spacers to my td4 2004,
Now looking to upgrade the tyres to something abit more aggressive, all terrains or mud tyres,
Although there’s plenty of discussions about tyres on here, no1 seems to of discussed 18” rims,
That could be because you can’t fit any r18 all terrains in the wheel arch.
But it is fitted with the standard Land Rover 18” alloys so wanted to keep these as they are a nice looking g wheel but if need be will have to downsize accordingly to suit.
If so any recommendations??
ANY HELP PLEASE

I have 18" rims on mine. I won't use spacers on a road car for safety reasons. Unfortunately without spacers you can't fit a tyre larger than 235/55/18 (the size I have) and in that size AT tyres are hard to find at sensible prices. The best AT type tyre I found was Michelin Latitude Cross but at over £120 a corner I gave them a miss.

With a lift and spacers you might be able to squeeze on a 255/60/18 which is my preferred Discovery 3 size that has many AT tyre options .

Think I’m gonna go for a set of 15” rims with AT tyres, much more feesable

Keep the 18" rims for day to day driving and some 15" or 16" rims shod with ATs for off road fun.

I can't be doing with noisy tyres on a daily basis, so I have 17" rims with ATs for the occasional off road trip and 18" M/S rated tyres for daily use.
