Freelander 2 HSE with high mileage

Hi I’m looking for some general advice on buying a Freelander 2 HSE (2010) plate facelift model. It’s got high mileage 156k but it’s a bargain price £6995 ono, so wondered if there are any tell tale signs when driving or looking this vehicle over that I should look out for. It’s got a FSH and has been a company vehicle, so maintained and regularly serviced. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Rob

Nice motor, me folks have one. That is high mileage use it to knock that price down. Make sure it has the updated sat nav DVD from. Or deduct the price of one from the sale (look on eBay for em). Hadlex would be the next thing to check. Apart from that possibly the best motor land rover have ever made (don't tell anyone I said that)

Also that's not a great price for that milage

Thanks goonarmy. Is the Haldex a known issue in the facelift model post 2010 (this is a ‘60 plate), do you know, as I’ve heard it was in vehicles made before that date? Also what would you suggest a good price to go in bidding at as they have it up for £6995? Thanks

From a very quick Google id say near 5.5. I've found a few vehicles of same spec and similar milage for around that money. Not all the same age though but it's only a facelift.

Front diff bearing is an issue known to everyone except Land Rover who pretend it hasn't happened before. I heard they whine when they are on the way out.

Most of them miles will have been done on motorways I reckon, which isn't as hard on the vehicle as general mileage. If it has been serviced properly you should get another 100,000 out of it easily. Check when the timing belt was last done, negotiate the price if not known or its due soon.
