Hi All

Have recently changed to a 57 plate FL2, auto, diesel with 24k on clock. Full dealer service history.

Have driven over 1500 miles without resetting the OBC. Mostly do fairly local trips, but there have been a few long runs also. It is only returning around 28mpg, and I don't have a heavy foot.

Is this an expected fuel consumption, or is there a any solution out there to improve?

Any help would be appreciated.

yes i can just squeeze 30 mpg, wifey on long runs mainly 50-55 mph does achieve 35mpg
it will improve slightly in warmer weather, mine is on calculations on fuel fill ups not trip computer.
 
05 TD4 52k on clock.
Synergy 2 and disconnected EGR.
I get between 33 & 35 mpg on commutes and sit at 70 when I can.
This is about 460 to a tank.
 
Nope its a 2Ltr diesel but she only uses it for shopping at Tesco's which is 6 miles away and to her works and back which is 3 miles away.

Car does not warm up hence the crap economy.

It has the EGR mod as well and may try chipping to see if that helps.
