Hi all,
Just joined and was wondering if anyone could advise on whether:
a) A Rover 75 / MG ZT 2.5 V6 auto gearbox can fit directly onto a Freelander 2.5 KV6 engine? If so, what adjustments, if any, are necessary?
b) A Rover 75 / MG ZT 2.5 V6 engine and auto gearbox can fit directly into a Freelander 2.5 V6? Again, what adjustments, if any, are necessary?
Whereas the Freelander 2.5 auto boxes seem to be few and far between, I've seen a few Rover 75 / MG ZT engines and gearboxes going on eBay.
Has anyone here made either of these options work? I'm living in Spain and the car is over here, so I'd rather not make the costly mistake of having something shipped over that isn't compatible. The KV6 Freelanders are rare over here and getting it reconditioned here would cost approximately 1,000 Euros!!
