DR Tranny - Where to put it - Freelander 2 Auto

Hello,

So I have a slight judder in my Freelander auto gearbox, which as suggested on here could be a torque converter issue possibly.

I just wondered if anybody had any pictures to show the steps on where to put the doctor tranny stuff that I have brought? Been reading that you can either put it into the gearbox by removing one of the plugs, or you can put it somewhere near one of the coolant pipes in the engine bay. But I can’t seem to find any instructions for the latter method, which would be a whole lot easier for me to do.

Any tips and instructions available would be really appreciated.

It goes in the Auto box fill hole

Dr Tranny didn't work for me I had to have a recon TC put in. When was the last time you had a full fluid flush, try that before anything else you may be lucky

Adding that unless you do a DIY full flush it will cost you what £250 maybe £300, money that could go towards a more permanent solution

Okay stupid question is where is the fill hole? is it right that you need to have the engine running before you put this in?

I had a flash done in November. It seemed to fix it for about four weeks, but it’s come back again. It only happened to 2000 rpm, going up a hill, if I idle other than that the drive is beautifully smooth.

Out of interest, how much did your TC cost?
