Freelander 2.2 diesel died few days ago

No problems and suddenly -" reduced engine performance" and engine stoppes. It cranked but didnt start. Now it doesn't even carnk. when i try to start it the only reaction is hazard light on ! I have checked all fuses an relays for ECM and ECU. Still the same reaction. Is there a immobilizer unit, and how to reset it. I'm in desperate need of help

Check the battery and all it's connections first, also look at the little lead end on the starter motor. Then report back after that.
