Freelander 1 Rear Wiper Problems

Hi, im having a few issues with my rear wiper it works every now and again but is stopping in the upright 12 o clock position instead of the rest position at 9 o clock. It will move a couple of times then stop working. I've checked all the cabling through the door and rubber protector all seems fine. I'm thinking it's the motor at fault. What do you guys think would this symptom be a sign the motors on the way out? It's a 2004 freelander.

Mine only sweeps until just BEFORE upright, but parks properly. Wish I knew what it was :-/

That sounds like a motor fault to me. Never taken one apart or had a problem with mine so I'm only going by experience of previous vehicles.

That's all I can think of is the motors at fault as everything else seems fine.
