would a transit engine fit into a td5.and has anyone done this and what was there outcome.

my dad wants to do the td5 in his transit 4x4

WHY would you want to replace a decent engine with a crap one ?????
They are not known as TRAN****s for nothing. If you mean the new PUMA engine then it would not be economical as you would need all the electronics to go with it and it would still be under powered compared to the TD5. If your TD5 is shagged just get anuvver one off fleabay and bolt it in.
