Hi, I am replacing the water pump on my l322 V8 vogue (4.4 m62 engine on lpg) next weekend and will be carrying out a basic service at the same time. What oil and coolant type would be best for my rangie? I'm at present using carlube fully synthetic 5w-30 for topping up and the coolant is bmw stuff but due to a leak its been severely watered down(hence replacement).

Any answers appreciated.

Cheers Tom

you dont have to buy the expensive BMW coolant, its only re branded stuff at a massive price !

check your handbook, it will tell you all the information you require :)

Fine IMO but expensive, benefit same for both cars
remember to flush out all old coolant - some don't mix

I buy 25l drums cheaply from factors and change often (Red comma - p38 though)
