If it was 6 months old I would agree, but I disagree, As vehicles get older, people do tend to DIY especially if you're an enthusiast or get mechanic mates to do jobs for "cash"

As long as you keep receipts, can take pics along the way if you wish to attach to them.

thanks guys for the help, I am slowly bringing myself to DIY'ing but it wont have a great resale value if theres no documented history. Surprisingly, 2 local indies were no more than 10% cheaper than dealership.

At those prices, I would rather go to the dealership, at least you get a courtesy car and a breakfast.

you will get there, if you get some diagnostics, the engineering behind them is surprisingly simple, the electronics can be a pain though.
you only have to search my posts for my service history and my box file of receipts :D

In the unpredicatable World of RR ownership, I requested and it was agreed that my coolant would be flushed and replaced costing £210.

Arrived at Dealership to have breakfast, hand loan car back and settle the damage. Instead the bill was £12.00 for loan car, I am confused.

They give the car the full visual health check, even fixed a puncture, give it a wash and tire gel but didnt do the job of flushing/changing coolant. They said they assessed the coolant and are happy with its condition and supported this by stating that there is a recently new radiator which would have also encouraged a coolant change.

Are they lazy or a Geniune Dealership lol?

Well, they sound honest, many would have charged you and done nothing:)
Weak coolant is detected by a sensor the L322 I believe.

There are honest garages out there, I remember a new customer dropping his car off for a new alternator and water pump (he diagnosed the faults), when he picked his car up he was amazed he had a bill for a new fan belt and a bit of labour. He booked his car in for a full service the next day and stayed a loyal customer.:)
