Freelander 1 floppy windscreen wipers

Just back in the country took Sid out for a run to the shops flipped the washers on worked fine then just flopped back to rest thought it might be tthe fuse but No. looks like linkage has come apart or broken,

Can anyone give me some pointers on best way to get at the works I know its under the plastic trim but any pointers or tricks that stop me breaking my Nails

It'll be the linkage ball joints worn and come apart. You can replace the whole linkage or fit some clips to fix it for a few years longer.
