Hey guys,

I've done a quick search, but am in a real hurry so will post this here as well just in case...

My disco key fob (oval type, single button, 1993 model) has stopped unlocking the doors. I replaced the battery and now it flashes once but does not unlock the doors so I think it needs resetting or some crap like that. Does anyone know any way I can do this? My car is currently locked and opening it with the key just sets off the alarm :mad::confused:

Thanks for any advice

Cheers,

Good try but that didn't work... As soon as the ignition is switched on the alarm goes off, which I assume nullifies the entire process, as it's not worked.

This is getting ridiculous, it always happens at the worst possible time

Hi new member so hope this gets thro. I have got the same problem.
Changed the theft alarm unit for one out of another disco, can now operate c/l and set alarm with key. I cannot get the remote to lock or unlock the doors, have tried to reprogram remotes with no luck.
Have you any info.

If all was well before you changed the theft unit can you not re-install old one and take it from there, you probably gonna say you cant turn alarm off to allow changing theft unit?

The reason for changing the theft alarm unit was because the c/l of all the doors by using the key had stopped working.

I have not used the key fob for some time, cant remember what caused it to pack up.

Using the key in the drivers door operates the c/l and sets the alarm, then unlocks and disarms the alarm system, perhaps I just keep using the key.!!!

Thanks Guys.:)
