The battery on my daughters D2 was totally dead someone (possibly me) left an interior light on for over a week. Anyway gave it a jump start and after a bit it fired up only problem is now the M and S lights are flashing on dash tried getting Hawkeye to delete the fault codes P1842 and P1843 but they won’t delete. The disco is stuck in 3rd when I drive it. It now starts ok just the flashing lights on dash. Is it just a matter that the battery isn’t fully charged? Read about xyz switch but had no flashing lights before it got parked.

I'm going get a new battery charger tonight...
Hi, if the battery is more than 4 years old and it was drained completely down once you can bin it without remorse, better get a new battery to be ruled out rather than a charger or if you want to be 100% certain measure the voltage on it while cranking and if it drops below 10.5V you have the confirmation that it's gone

i recommend this: https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/bulletbatt/c31-1000/ from own experience with often -20*C winters here
