passenger door mirror with mind of it's own

Does the driver door wing mirror open up when you unlock.
When you open the driver's window does the wing mirror open without the engine started.
Could be the passenger window side not fully closed, slightly ajar so the computer not able to activate close wing mirror.
Most work off sensors to trip actions from the onboard computer.

I read somewhere that it can be fixed using the memory function of the drivers seat, but then again maybe I imagined it! I will try and look at start positioning of the passenger mirror, just in case it isn't sitting correctly, like you said the sensors can pick up all sorts of info from a wronly 'sittint' device....I will have another go tomorrow. Thanks for the help though!
