just a guess, with the 2.5inch as i think a 3 inch system can cause the turbo to overspeed. thats what i read anyway
What boost are you running the turbo at? Did you wind it up from standard?
Any more than 1bar and the ECU goes into limp mode until you restart the engine.
You need an adapter box if you want to run higher boost pressures on the TD5. You also need a bigger intercooler otherwise you're wasting your time.
I run 1.2bar measured at the inlet manifold with no problems (not counting my engine fragging itself due to oil pump failure) but I do have a hot map from TD5Alive.
