Morning Guys, I am in the process of changing all my shocks, (To Gas ones), and fitting polybushes as I go, have a Flo-flex poly kit, but cant compress bushes enough to fit nuts, was toying with cutting but have read on here thats a NO-NO, advise please. regards Boldor

you need to jack the axle up as much as you dare, then use a big spanner to push the washer down, an get someone else to put the nut on, it was a right tw#t of a job to do thats why i left the rubber bushes on:rolleyes:

Thanks nickh75, for your reply, finally sussed it, the threaded stud on Monroe gas shock's are shorter by 15mm, if you use OE shock's, no problem with Flo-Flex Polybushes, and after speaking to Flo-Flex can cut to fit, so out with the bandsaw, trimmed 4mm, now all fitted, the ride is very firm, just great. I've had to trim most flowflex (used to be delflex) bushes an every car i've fitted em too, i use me Mums old bacon slicer :D
I'll admit i've not done em on me disco but trimming and flowflex do seem to go hand in hand :(
