bloody hell mate...thats a bit of a drastic step just to get sat nav!!1

good luck in your search mate....awsome bits of kit...had one of the last p38's which was superb but the l322's are in a different class and i've always said i'll have one so keep us posted :)...first dibs on ur egr kit ;)

well, going tohave to give it a year before i get it at least.

seems i cant get insurance untill im 21 !! or unless i want to pay 5K !!!

sorry mark, your going to have to buy that egr now lol

ill give it a while, hopefully by then ill have enough money to buy a sport ! lol

wel thats a bit of a bitch ain't it...oh to be young again lol

funnily enough, the missus and me were discussing flogging the freebie and our cooper s and getting a rr sport and a 500 quid knacker :5bdrool5:

You know you go away for a week and come back to this madness, 5K insurance, how old are you again!!! Does your folks know you surf the net talking to men until the small hours of the night???

I think most people would upgrade to a higher spec 4X4 if costs, insurance etc was OK, I would and I'm happy with the Furby at the moment, but lets talk sense if I get my hands on a Range Rover (new) or Disco (new) or even them White Xtrail sporty things I'd part with mine. But I didn't want to take on finance so paid cash and the insurnance is only just over £200 a year so I'm happy, for now.

Hipsta you should get them headrests since you spend most the time in the back at your age!!! Hang on hang on, I mean cos ya Dad is driving you about haha.

Your not still in them booster seats cos this would be gettin very wrong indeed......

Lmao !
Your just Jealous that an 18 year old can afford a range rover ! Haha
Won't need to get those head rests- range rover come as standard! Lol :p

nah Hippo.
Hes laughing his socks off that you can afford the rangy but not the insurance:D.
Did you get the quote on line?, we did one the other week and it came in at £575 for just me n the missus, when we went to put her boss on as a named driver it came in at over £5k (cos hes been done for drink driving) and the cheecky gits rang us up within a minute to see if we wanted to go ahead with the £5k quote.

i can afford the insurance but i dont see the point on paying all that when i can just wait a bit longer and spend the extra money on a better spec range instead :D

i wont give it long, ill have to give into getting one soon :p

Fair play, our other toy at the moment is the audi tt 3.2 Quattro.......loads of kit inside and goes like billy hoe. Only downside is £500 road tax and about 14mpg when you put your foot down:D

yea :D

sounds a nice bit of kit, guessing its a petrol then with that mpg ?

you can pick up petrol rangies for 8 grand - but who can afford a car that does something like 10mpg ! lol :p if i get one its got to be the TD6 - being a diesel they still go like a rocket ! lol

The Td6 is a good unit and does shift ok, We had a disco td6 on loan for about a week and I loved the engine.
The only thing with the range rover is get as late a model as you can (pref face lift model) cos they can be money pits, my mate had the pre face lift from new and it had cost him that much money in reapairs and time off the road.....when he came to change the dealer offered to knock off everything it had cost him if he bought a new one from them. He told them to swivel and bought a bmw.

Oooooooo check me out, but you cant afford the insurance! So get some headrests for now, these you can afford.

I like the Range Rover and will prob have one when money is less tight but for now bills come first and as long as my Furby keeps moving I'm happy to stick with it for 3 years atleast.

18!!!! so your a bit spotty then?

Hips It's not about the cash, it's how you spend it my friend.

From 17 years old to being 26 (I think) I changed my car every six months, not HP, CASH and they weren't cheap things, XR2i, RST, XR3i, Calibra, Convertables but I had the cash and I liked changing them, but then you grow up, get married and have kids, things change and whilst cars are still a big thing, they're not the biggest thing.

Plus when you know someone who will remain nameless but you know this person, had a band spankin new BMW 4x4 and shuts his elec gates whilst reversing cutting the car almost in two just laughed and just picked up a Ranger Rover instead, not pimped, just a nice motor, and this person has cash..... My point is, nobody needs to hear how much cash someone has if you've got it, it does the talk not the person.

Now what time is your Tea going to be ready cos if it goes cold you'll get wrong of mam.

hahaha only playin wif you, hang on, thats wrong, how old are you again, your legal aren't you!!

Now this is child abuse !:eek::eek:

I help you wire up your steering remote and now I get this as repayment !!! :p

its not bank of mum and dad - I work hard to pay for my toys !

Well thats nice to know......... I guess.

Hey if Mum and Dad can then thats fine wif me, I only mean let the cash talk not the person, after all you cant buy class..... You've either got it my dear or you don't.

Working hard or looking hard at work is my middle name!

Now thats a good idea bud :)

just waiting to see your pics before i order mine ;)

be interested in how the unit reacts to the gearbox having to go thru reverse each time you select drive....

Just started running the AV cable ;)
Never thought it would be such a pain...:(
Never though about the reverse pass over in the gear selector

Will let you know when I finally get it completed.

Will have to get rid of the wife and kids for a couple of hours

Taz

Keep up the good work Tel, once it's done you'll be a happy man.

So did you go down the centre or around the side with the Rev cable? Not sure about how easy the seats tilt on the 5 door but on the 3 it wasn't that bad to lift the carpet near the centre console, the hardest part I think is messing on with the wires in the door once you've fitted the camera.
