Cheers Marky
I had the the single cd Becker unit with multichanger
There are 2 connectors at the rear of the unit.
Both are whitish in colour
Will have a look over the weekend if I get chance
Taz

Yeah mate, my old td4 hse had the same kit and i swapped the head for a jvc dvd and it was straight plug in as they are standard iso ;) so on yours one connector will be the power/earth/switches etc and the other is the speakers out...

Got some more piccies:

Ipod cable tucks away neatly under the little screw cover under the hand break.
Although found that it does not seem to work with the Iphone 4

look at the state of that freelander ! wondered where all the beaches are eroding too :p

all that sand ! hehe :D

It sometimes feels like the wife brings half the beach back with her
After taking the dogs for a run.

Did manage to connect the reversing signal cable and if so where did you pick the feed up from?

I have had a look at the gear shift setup and all the wires goto a closed circuit board. Wondering if there was a wire round the back of the radio somewhere.

Last resort is to run a wire from the fuse box or worse from a reverse light.

Looks like I may need to investigate further... As Holmes once said :p

just run it from the reverse light Taz, you've got to splice it for the power for the cam anyway and you've got to run the video cable from the back so just run it with that ...i'm sure thats all angus did as well :)

Well just ordered a camera.

I think your right and I will have to run a new cable. Forgot that I have to run the VGA cable from front to back

Will post piccies and final solution once fitted.

Few different ways to fit camera, if you take live feed from reverse camera you have to engage reverse gear to use, or you can also fit another live feed to select reverse camera when not in reverse, it's your call, my unit allows you to test the camera without going into reverse but given I'd already fitted it and had issues with the wheel controls I wasn't bothered about adding a second live.

But I'm glad to see you have all got the unit's in and working, I'm using the word "see" even thought Marky is still yet to provided photos!! SHOCKING!!

So does anyone else fancy the headrests??? Must say these just add to the whole set up!

naaaaa !

would never use them.

anyway still might send my GPS unit back ! its getting on my tits !

went out today, went to use gps, GPS doesnt locate any satelites ! only picks them up once i was on my way home from where i was trying to find using the sat nav ! typical !

and the other downsides to the unit are getting to me ! like poor bluetooth streaming etc..

considering fitting in my old trusty alpine single din unit which is still selling in halfords for £200 a year later !

:mad::mad:

send it back kiddo... mine takes about 3-4 mins to locate and is then perfect and the a2dp bluetooth streaming is excellent with my desire hd :)

wowaa ur streaming works ???

cant be my phone ?? my phone works fine on other bluetooth cars music players ??

do you think its a duff unit ?

I give up !

yeah mate, really well actually! once you've paired your phone with the unit just press music icon (treble clef?) at the bottom of the bluetooth screen and hey presto it works! even puts my phone into the music player and puts up the album artwork, i was bloody impressed with it!!

lucky you ! well glad it works for someone !

decided, im ripping mine out this week and putting back my original Head unit !

im doing no more with this new unit than what i was with my old one.

at least my old unit, shows whos ringing when a person calls, much clearer bluetooth sound and a better overall sound quality from the unit !

well i guess you get what you pay for ! :(

i wont be part of the double din club for much longer !
