Think the consensus is that diesel knock isn't damped on the lower profiled tyres hence the vibration at standstill...!

How many miles are you on now Saint? Mine is at 65K so hoping the gearbox and TC will go for a good while yet....!
I do plan on a gearbox oil change at some point soon though. Been in there 10 years now....

Bought last May at 137K, now just flicked over 151500....
Well worth changing it now then before anything bad happens. 10 years is way too old for oil.

Providing the profile of the tyres are correct, it won't make a difference.

Not a Range Rover but I went from 18s to 20s on my Discovery adjusted the tyre size to suit so rolling radius was as close to standard as possible, as TD5's never came on 20s.
Speedo is pretty good, but the ride from the low profile tyres has been affected, no where near as nice as it was.
