Hello,

I was looking for information as to which Landrover would be a nice 'first SUV' type car. I've currently went from a corsa > jetta > megane but am sick of family hatchbacks and have always wanted a SUV, but never exactly been in the budget for one.

I was looking at the Freelander - it seems relatively affordable for what you get - the Range Rover is still a bit too pricey ;). Would the Freelander work well for a good introductory SUV and let me see the pros/cons of SUVs in general? At the moment, it's a toss up between the Freelander, new Kuga, ix35 or Sportage.

Edit: P.S -> How much would you be expected to pay each month (roughly) for a relatively new Freelander?

Thanks boys!

Thanks boys, what planet are you on??????????:eek::eek::eek:

I'd have a relatively new Hippo if I could get one taxed and insured, free fuel for life, repairs included for ten bob a month, hell of a price to pay but I'd go for it. boys!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

Such altruistic individuals. Seems I signed up to the wrong forum, but thanks for the warm welcome nonetheless.

Woss an SUV then? :confused::confused::confused:

Welcome. :) Your best bet is in the Freelander section as they are generally frowned upon elsewhere. As far as I'm concerned Land Rover are for fixing up! LRs are like good booze...you have to let them mature.
