Try this
No mate I did em yesterdy afternoon. They're a massive improvement over the crappy standard ones.
They are indeed standard defender jobbies. I'll post up a "how to" a bit later but it's a piece of **** really. I only did a quick job just to see if it would work so could have been a bit tidier but they work well it just takes a bit of getting used to being able to see behind
I'm not bothered about the electrical movement bit. I only used to use it because the original mirrors were so bad that I was constantly adjusting them to try and see anything. I used some defender ones I had lying around and a bit of offcut steel so it didn't cost me anything but I reckon it's such a useful mod it would be worth paying a bit to have it.I like that HUGHSEY!! Quick and easy. You could go the other way as well. The later Discovery mirrors are a vast improvement as well, they fit with a little mod and if you pick up the correct switch and add a couple of wires they will move as well.
Do a search 200tdi - 300tdi mirrors as I posted the info here somewhere.
regards
Dave
Never heard of that. They actually stick out from the body about 3/4 of an inch less than the original disco ones.not sure how deependers get away with it but I thought there was a 20cm overhang from the widest part of the body limit on mirrors and they look a little over that...
