Some help is needed please. In an attempt to remove the cooling fan on my TD5 and not having a large narrow spanner I have taken out the three screws holding the fan pulley on expecting the assembly to come free. I now can not re-align the pulley to get the screws back in.

Sometimes you need a little patience and a dollop of luck along with bendy fingers and a mental picture of what you are trying to do. They came out so they'll go back.

If you still cant get them to go back then I guess you'll have to, strap the bonnet back against the windscreen, take the front slam panel and grille off, remove the intercooler and radiator (along with the air con heat exchanger if you have one), take the tension off the serpentine belt to make sure the fan pulley is square, just so as you can see where the holes are, then put it all back together.

I know which method I'd be using.
